Home
schooling has become a very popular and successful educational
alternative for millions of parents across the country,
dissatisfied with the current status of the public “fool”
(i.e., “school”) system.
8,000,000
children are home schooled each year! And, the numbers are
INCREASING every year!
Eight
million children, just to mention a few, are educated
without government assistance or interference (i.e., a
good thing). Imagine another
eight million starting to home school every year! And,
then another!
The
reason why parents choose to home school their children
is to ensure their children receive the very best education
possible. Here's why home schooling has become the way
of the future when it comes to educating our children:
|
| • |
Unparalleled
Productivity!
Home-schooled students are lively, intelligent, motivated, and
well disciplined unlike their rude, rowdy, peer-pressured driven
schoolmates down at the local public school. |
| • |
Family
Time!
Home schooling brings children closer to their parents. The
way it should be. |
| • |
Safety!
Public schools just aren’t as safe today as they were
some 25-30 years ago. Public schools have become danger zones
and crime scenes where drugs are sold, students and teachers
get robbed, weapons and even bombs are found in lockers. We
won’t even begin to talk about rape, flashing and sexual
pressures which run rapid across campuses today. |
| • |
Boredom
in the classroom is eliminated!
A one-size fits all teaching curriculum doesn’t motivate
some students who need the extra special attention or academic
push towards higher excellence. Home schooling can be tailored
to each child. And, each child gets the positive attention needed
to succeed in learning the “three R’s” and
more. (e.g., Reading, ’Riting and ’Rithmatic) |
| • |
Accelerated
maturity!
Children who are home schooled are typically able to move into
adulthood with a much better sense of self and have a very good
sense as to what they really want to do with their life. |
| • |
Public
schools don’t even make the grade!
Public schools are turning out a “poor
product.” (i.e., illiterate and unprepared graduates).
The shocking figures show a small majority of graduates can’t
even read or write a complete sentence, let alone add 2 and

Johnny Can't Read: And What You Can Do About It
by Rudolf Flesch (ISBN: 0060913401; 240 pages; “Dead on
target,” said one Amazon.com reviewer. |
| • |
The
Time Is Now! A growing number of parents have
become simply impatient; waiting for public schools to get their
act together, they grew tired (waiting) so they finally acted!

the educated are free!”

Why
Do Families Choose To Home School?
A
survey polled resulted in these top four reasons as to why families
across America and the world choose to home school their own children:
| •
Parents’ dissatisfaction with public
schools ... |
| •
Parents’ desire to impart religious
values freely ... |
| •
Parents’ desire for true academic
excellence ... |
| •
Parents’ desire for building stronger
family bonds ... |
Well,
sounds good to me. Parents win! Schools, pay attention …
we won’t be throwing any more money your way (per say).
Nope, instead, we’re just going to walk right out of class
and right into more home schooling.
What’s
that? Socialization? You argue the child won’t have any
thugs and bullies to socialize with? Oh darn. Well, there are
after school programs, other kids’ programs, group learning
sessions and kids that live in their neighborhood (you know, the
ones they grew up around) …
Besides
with the Internet, training videos, private tutors, training camps
and specialty colleges we have today, there’s almost no
need to stick our children in all-day prisons called public “fool”
systems. For more information on the subject of home schooling,
check out the recommended reading and Internet web site resources
at the end of this report.
“The
plain fact is that education is itself a form of propaganda –
a deliberate scheme to
outfit the pupil, not with the capacity to weigh ideas, but with
a simple appetite
for gulping ideas ready-made. The aim is to make ‘good’
citizens, which is to say,
docile and uninquisitive citizens.” –
H.L. Mencken, “Smart Set” (1921)
Too
Much Commercialism In Public Schools
Get
it out! Well, to some degree. We know why it’s there, “lack
of funds.” Same goes for fast food restaurants and soda
machines located in schools. Does anyone realize we’re feeding
our children junk food every day?
Big
companies split the profits with the schools at the expense of
children’s attention, teeth and waistlines! What B.S. Again,
I know the money (to the school) is very needed. That is a sad
problem with today’s (under funded) schools.
And, why are they under funded? Hmm, say, how about that 80 MILLION
DOLLAR LOTTERY? Let’s use some of that money! Wait a minute,
where does all that money really go? Our school’s should
be learning centers, not commercialized product-focused consumption
centers for market-hungry, careless corporations.
Parents,
do you want your children eating junk food so the art department
can buy more finger paints and construction paper? If not, then
home school your children.

Dumbing
Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling
by John Taylor Gatto. Thirty years of award-winning teaching
in New York City’s public schools led John Gatto to
the sad conclusion that compulsory governmental schooling
does little but teach young people to follow orders as cogs
in the industrial machine. In celebration of the ten-year
anniversary of Dumbing Us Down and to keep this classic current,
we are renewing the cover art, adding new material about John
and the impact of the book, and a new Foreword. ISBN:

Why
Johnny Can't Read: And What You Can Do About It
by Rudolf Flesch (ISBN: 0060913401; 240 pages; “Dead
on target,” said one Amazon.com reviewer. Another reviewer
wrote, "Rudolf Flesch's Method Cures Whole-Word Dyslexia!"
And, another said, "A Must-Read for all parents/teachers
in America!" So, there you have it! Every parent should
purchase this book and teach their child the basics of reading
BEFORE they start kindergarten and get confused. The American
system of teaching children to read is no longer the traditional
alphabeti-phonetic method. Failing to learn how to sound our
words letter by letter, the child never masters the mechanics
of reading. Dr. Flesch provides a cure in this book. Contains
complete material and instructions for teaching children to
read at home. |

NEA:
Trojan Horse in American Education by Samuel
L. Blumenfeld. Samuel has spent the last 25 years writing
about American education and seeking answers to such baffling
questions as: Why is America experiencing a decline in literacy?
Why are so many American children afflicted with learning
disabilities? Why are the schools pushing sex ed, drug ed,
and Ritalin, but are dead-set against intensive phonics and
rote memorization of arithmetic facts? His six previous books
on education answer these and many more questions puzzling
the public. His best-selling expose of the national Educational
Association, N.E.A. Trojan Horse in American Education, has
virtually become a classic in critical educational literature.
Peter Brimelow, in Fortune magazine, called Is Public Education
Necessary? brilliant revisionist history, and How to Tutor
and Alpha-Phonics are being used by thousands of parents and
homeschoolers to teach their children the 3R's in the traditional

Cloning
of the American Mind: Eradicating Morality Through Education
by B. K. Eakman. Bev Eakman's new book is jam-packed with
facts about how the use of a relatively new field called psychographics
(which combines elements of demographic and marketing research)
along with assessment standards, is altering the values and
beliefs of our children while undermining their academic skills.
The new beliefs include: no right or wrong - only conditioned
responses, all ethics are situational, etc. Eakman explains
how education initiatives such as Outcome-Based Education
(with its subsequent "dumbing down" of America's
students) and the new "assessment tests" (which
determine how a child thinks and feels rather than how many
facts he has mastered) make more sense when viewed in the
context of "mental health." She argues that psychology
has assumed a "messianic political mission," and
that unsuspecting parents and lethargic legislators have allowed
the education reform movement's "bogus agenda" to
be sold as "mental health" and "assessment
standards." ISBN: 1563841479 |

The
Underground History Of American Education: A Schoolteacher's
Intimate Investigation Into The Problem Of Modern Schooling
by John Taylor Gatto. As you'll learn when you read The Underground
History of American Education the new purpose of schooling—to
serve business and government—could only be achieved
efficiently by isolating children from the real world, with
adults who themselves were isolated from the real world, and
everyone in the confinement isolated from one another. Only
then could the necessary training in boredom and bewilderment
begin. Such training is necessary to produce dependable consumers
and dependent citizens who would always look for a teacher
to tell them what to do in later life, even if that teacher
was an ad man or television anchor. ASIN: B000KF42JK, Paperback:

The
Teacher Unions: How They Sabotage Educational Reform &
Why? by Myron Lieberman. ISBN: 189355421X. “Fixing”
public education has become an American obsession. But according
to educational theorist Myron Lieberman, the major problem
our schools face is not class size, poor teacher pay, dilapidated
buildings, or even “dumbed down” subject matter.
The chief obstacle to reform is a pair of powerful and well-entrenched
organizations, the National Educational Association (NEA)
and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), with over three
million members and national revenues of over $1 billion a
year, which they use to maintain the status quo. n this startling
expose, Lieberman shows how the teachers’ unions raise
and spend vast sums to maintain their power over education
and to push a narrow political agenda. Even dues-paying teachers
will be angered to learn how their unions stifle dissent,
sabotage meaningful reform, and hold parents hostage to bureaucracy.
The Teacher Unions is a sober critique of the arrogance of
the educational establishment. In asking the fundamental questions
that politicians of all parties avoid, it is essential reading
for anyone concerned with the declining state of America’s
public schools. |

The
Marketing Of Evil by David Kupelian
“The
Marketing of Evil" documents how much of what Americans
once almost universally abhorred has been packaged, perfumed,
gift-wrapped and sold to them as though it had great value.
Highly skilled marketers, playing on our deeply felt national
values of fairness, generosity and tolerance, have persuaded
us to embrace as enlightened and noble that which all previous
generations since America’s founding regarded as grossly
self-destructive – in a word, evil. In the end, "The
Marketing of Evil" is an up-close, modern-day look at
what is traditionally known as "temptation" –
the art and science of making evil look good.

Culture
Warrior by Bill O’Reilly (of Fox
News’ The O’Reilly Factor)
In
his latest screed, the host of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor
mobilizes fellow "traditionalists" against a "secular-progressive
movement" supposedly led by billionaire George Soros
("public enemy number one") and the liberal rhetorician
George Lakoff. O'Reilly condemns the "erosion of societal
discipline" flowing from an alleged "S-P [secular-progressive]"
agenda of drug legalization, teenagers' rights, moral relativism,
church-state separation, therapy instead of punishment for
criminals and, above all, the "communist" freeloader's
doctrine that the government should tax the rich to fund housing,
health care and early-childhood education for the poor. None
of this coheres well, but O'Reilly keeps fans stoked with
red meat, including tales of ACLU Christmas-bashers who wanted
schools to stop teaching kids to sing carols, and permissive
judges who go easy on child molesters. Too often, though,
he feuds with personal enemies like "smear-merchant"
Al Franken, Hollywood liberals, press critics and unnamed
"black-hearted websites." ISBN#: 0767920929. |

When
parents send their children off to college, mom and dad hope
they'll return more cultivated, knowledgeable, and astute--able
to see issues from all points of view. But, according to Ben
Shapiro, there's only one view allowed on most college campuses:
a rabid brand of liberalism and sexism that must be swallowed
hook, line, and sinker. In this explosive book, Ben Shapiro,
a college student himself, reveals how America's university
system is one of the largest brainwashing machines on the
planet. Examining this nationwide problem from firsthand experience,
Shapiro shows how the leftists who dominate the universities--from
the administration to the student government, from the professors
to the student media--use their power to mold impressionable
minds. Fresh and bitterly funny, this book proves that the
universities, far from being a place for open discussion,
are really dungeons of the mind that indoctrinate students
to become socialists, atheists, free sex promoters, anti-conservative,
race-baiters and narcissists. A must read if you have children
going to or in college. After you read this book, you won’t
DARE send your children to college! No way! ISBN#: 0785261486. |

In
dramatic commentary, Indoctrination U. unveils the intellectual
corruption of American universities by faculty activists who
have turned America’s classrooms into indoctrination
centers for their political causes. It describes how academic
radicals with little regard for professional standards or
the pluralistic foundations of American society have created
an ideological curriculum that it is as odds with the traditional
purposes of a democratic education. Indoctrination U. is also
a riveting account of the reaction to Horowitz’s campaign
by professor unions and academic associations, whose leaderships
have been taken over by the political left. The anathemas
pronounced on the campaign and its creator, which are recounted
in this book, are not unique to Horowitz’s efforts but
have a long and squalid history in the left’s battles
with its opponents. The story of the campaign against academic
freedom, told in colorful detail in Indoctrination U., can
also be read as a case study in the political methods of the
radical left. |

Again,
thanks for stopping by HomeSchoolChildren.com.
HomeSchoolChildren.com
was designed by Bart Smith, TheMarketingMan.com,
and founder of MyTrainingCenter.com
to first support home schoolers who already home school their
children and those families who would like to learn more about
home schooling their own children as well.
At
HomeSchoolChildren.com, you'll find short home schooling articles,
recommended home schooling books and a list of home schooling
Internet link resources to help further your home schooling pursuits
and education!
REALITY:
It's been said that as much as 90%
of all home schoolers in North America are in fact "single-income"
families who look for simple, inexpensive resources to use to
home school their children.
Well,
HomeSchoolChildren.com, in conjunction with MyTrainingCenter.com,
was designed to help introduce home schooling parents to the potential
of working from home by simply improving their computer skills
to attract companies who look for and hire both freelance
service providers and virtual
assistants, and the like, to help them support their
business.

By
training inside MyTrainingCenter.com for a new career or skill,
home schooling moms and dads can make extra money working from
home (part-time or full-time) to raise extra monies to help support
their love for home schooling their children.
| FOR
EXAMPLE: How much money can you make working at home providing
services to others using your computer? Well, let's say
you knew how to design a simple postcard using Adobes Illustrator,
and three (3) clients hired you to make one for each of
them. Then, let's say you charged $350 to design each postcard.
And, let's say you finished them all within one week; and
it took you up to 5 hours to create each per postcard. Well,
do the math: 3 postcards x $350 earned per postcard = $1,050
in income you just earned for your household. And, it took
you only 15 hours to design all three postcards (3 x 5 =
15 hours). That means, you worked 15 hours that week and
earned $70 per hour.
Now, compare that to the local coffee shop,
and what do they pay? So, you can see, by improving your
computer skills you can work from home and make a little
extra money to pay the bills and home school your children
at the same time. |
This
is just an example of the kind of money you can make when you
improve
your computer skills and your overall knowledge of
both business and marketing at MyTrainingCenter.com. And, to think,
we haven't even mentioned simple web site design/maintenance,
shopping cart installation, eZine management, membership web site
design, audio recording/editing, article submission services,
podcasting services, etc. All of those jobs pay between $25 and
$125 per hour from business owners, consultants, personal/business
coaches and speakers looking to hire people to do the tasks they
don't have time to do, aren't trained to do, and frankly, don't
want to do! That's where you, the home schooler, with a few extra
hours to spare during the week can help them and pick up extra
cash at the same time!
